For those needing to make a decision- have you made yours yet?

I know 786AA was trying to decide. I'm just curious if people are done and made a decision.

Since we are waitlisted at our #1, I'm very anxious and hoping for "the call" this week.

I can't wait for all of this to be over. This has been so painful and draining.

We've made a decision, and are just pulling the money together to send for the deposit!

We get to do this again next year for my son! Yippee-skippee!

Congrats!

Yes- we have our deposit $ ready- if no word from our #1 choice, then we are putting our deposit down at our #2 choice. We are willing to lose our deposit if we still get called from #1. Once May 1st hits, then we are locked in at full tuition. So I'm hoping all of this ends sooner rather than later! Bottom line- come May 1st- it is all done for us- one way or another.

We are in the midst of deciding. We have acceptance and a couple of waiting lists to consider. Our child will be entering K/Pre 1st somewhere Can anyone tell me the reputation of Galloway vs St Martins vs Lovett vs Trinity?

I have heard very mixed reveiws about St. Martins. I've heard Trinity is a great school and when those kids graduate in 6th grade- they go to Wesminster or Lovett and do very well. I know Trinity is tough to get into.

Galloway- I don't know much but know people who want in badly.

Lovett- I hear mixed things- love/hate from what I've heard. One friend is less that thrilled to be accepted there- another one is so excited b/c it was her #1 choice- another friend toured and hated it and said it was like a country club and not a school.

So- that is what I've heard.

Good luck.

Of the 4, St. Martin's is a different calibre school. It isn't generally considered to be in the same tier as the other three.

The other three have basically good reputations, though really Galloway and Lovett are very different schools.

Default Does anyone have experience with waiting lists?

How long do the schools let this go on? Do you know if they generally call to let you know if you are offered a spot?

We're prepared to go with our backup, and will be fine. I just want to be done!

Deadline for people to accept the contract/waitlist or to decline an offer is close-of-business on Wednesday the 16th.

We have been told we are on the waitlist from now until their 1st day of school. Then it starts all over again if we choose to decide next year.

If you don't wish to remain on the waitlist- let the school know.

And yes- I just want it done, too.

I do have a friend who was waitlisted for Pace and did get a call today. They declined b/c they already chose another school, but they had not notified Pace yet.

And yes- I just want it done, too.
