Beyond that, there's also the housing affordability problem. Adult workers who fill unskilled/low-paying jobs simply aren't able to afford the housing that exists in North Fulton / South Forsyth. Thus, they're forced to commute from other parts of the metro area to work at the restaurants/dry cleaners/convenience stores.
I don't know what North Fulton you've been to, but there are a ton of low income people living in North Fulton. Not saying people don't commute there, but it's not factual to say there are no low income folks living there.

I didn't say "no low income folks live in North Fulton." You misread my post. But that's besides the point.

I don't know what your definition of "a ton" and "low income" is, but the reality is almost all of the census tracts are solidly middle to upper income. The only area I can think of with a sizeable number of low income residents is around Historic Roswell (and that has bern shrinking).

Compared to the rest of Metro Atlanta, North Fulton does have *relatively* few low income residents. And it's because of affordability.

I’m curious how much this will hurt the resale values in Forsyth’s nicer white neighborhoods (such as Three Chimneys, Deer Lake, etc). Will white young families want to move into a school district that is trending so heavily Asian?

I follow real estate demographics and usually in areas like this, the home values tend to hold well and go up in the long run. The areas that I have been following that are similar to Sourth Forsyth/Alpharetta demographics are Sunnyvale/San Jose, Irvine, North Dallas Suburbs, Northern Virginia suburbs etc. One reason I can think of is that Indian American and Asian American families usually have high median household income and wealth compared to average American families and Indian Americans and Asian Americans usually like to stick together and live in the same areas. So with the whites leaving and more and more Indian and Asian families moving in, in the long run the area becomes more wealthier..

So in the long run the white families will be replaced by Indian and Asian families..

They still need another, growth is still continuing, if you look at the map Lambert is in the NE corner not in the middle of the area it is serving, ideally you don't want someone down the street going to a high school 5 miles away when there is one less than a mile from there house.

The issue is when they built Lambert the school board never expected the growth they are seeing. I think by the time my son who is 5 years old now graduates there will be 2 to 4 more high schools inside Forsyth county due to the growth.

Research the very recent history of the rezoning. Those “close to Lambert” neighborhoods you are talking about were formerly zoned to Lambert but were moved to South Forsyth after Denmark took a huge chunk off of South Forsyth.

The problem is that Lambert is just situated a little too far north in its catchment area. Or, they should’ve designed the South Forsyth and Lambert zones to be oriented more north-south instead of east-west.

I do believe there will probably be more high schools built in Forsyth County beyond East Forsyth High, but that is way, way in the future and not part of any current plans.
