After considering moving to Atlanta and purchasing a new home for a few months now, I have agreed with many suggestions on this forum to rent first then buy after I have gotten a chance to really know the different areas...

Now I need help again... After looking at several apartment complexes online I think Laurell Valley may be our new home for at least 1yr, I will be visiting soon to give a closer look but can anyone give any feedback on this apartment complex?

Also the apartment is located in Marietta : Cobb Parkway/ Windy HIll Rd area, how is this area? (In terms of crime, etc..30067)

Thanks for all your help.

I wasn't familiar with this complex so I looked it up on Google and the only one I could find was on Terrell Mill, is this the one you are looking at? Terrell Mill is an ify area, and that complex did not get good ratings on apartmentratings.com. Laurel Valley Apartment Ratings, Reviews, Map, Rents, and other Marietta apartments for rent from ApartmentRatings.com

What is your price range? There are some very nice complexes in Marietta but they can get quite costly. Also where will you be commuting to?

Terrell Mill is the one I am looking at... I did see the ratings on ApartmentRatings.com but it did not affect me because it seems almost all the apartment complexes were getting bad reviews, in most cases only people who are not happy will post.

Only 2 of us but we are looking for a 3BR townhome, willing to pay upto $1000/month.
Tell me more about that area, please.

That end of Terrell Mill isn't the nicest, it's not dangerous I don't think, there are a lot of immigrants there. I'm not sure I'd want to live that close to the intersection between 41 and Windy Hill, it can get ugly during rush hour. I don't know of any other townhouses in that area, you may want to check craigs list.
