We will be travelling south on I-75 and hope to get through Atlanta before stopping for the night. Hoping for any suggestions of a decent place to sleep for the night without it turning into a no-tell/motel. Thanks

If you're staying at
any motel just off the interstate, make sure it's one that has rooms that are accessed by an interior hallway. A couple of friends of mine learned that lesson the hard way.
Personally, I wouldn't pull over in Henry County until I was past the McDonough exits (Exit 212)

I would try Locust Grove near the outlet mall or go on to Forsyth, GA. Holiday Inn Express Locust Grove is new and very nice ~$80/night.

Morrow has many hotels that would fit that bill with plenty of budget friendly restaurants in that area. That would put you coming off 75 south at the Morrow/ Jonesboro Exit.
