Oh, okay. Nice! Are there ANY SPECIFIC elementary schools that stand out more than others in the Sugar Hill and Johns Creek areas?

Note that many schools in Johns Creek have a very fast growing Asian population. Schools near Medlock Bridge Road and East of it are majority Asian. The Northview High School cluster is known to be a very competitive pressure cooker school that is 53% Asian (one of the most competitive in the Southeast, only GSMST and Walton are considered equally or more competitive). Northview also has a much harder honors/AP curriculum then nearby high schools. The elementary schools that feed into Northview, Wilson Creek and Shakerag are both around 55-63% Asian. These are some of the best elementary schools in Johns Creek test score wise but this is caused by many Asian parents who send there elementary kids to hours of math tutoring and language arts tutoring outside of school hours.

Many schools in North Fulton County (Johns Creek), Forsyth county and Suwanee (Gwinnett) have pressure cooker environments and are either already majority Asian or will turn majority Asian in the next couple of years. Some schools that I can think of that are in this situation include Creek View Elementary, Lake Windward Elementary, Ocee elementary (Alpharetta and Johns Creek), Parsons elementary (Gwinnett), Roberts elementary (Gwinnett) and almost all elementary schools in Southern Forsyth County.

And yes the competitive environment starts in elementary school and gets worse throughout middle school and high school.

If you don’t think your child can handle a very competitive environment that is mainly dominated by Indians, Koreans and Chinese than I suggest looking into a less competitive more well rounded high school like Chattahoochee or just avoid Johns Creek/South Forsyth and certain parts of North Gwinnett altogether.

If you can afford to live on actual Berkeley Lake, that's great living... But if you can't, I'd forget about it. Sugar Hill is in the boonies and the schools in Peachtree Corners aren't quite there yet.
Really?

Simpson Elementary is fine and one of the best elementary schools in the county. Now, Peachtree Elementary may not be in the same league as Simpson since I've haven't looked into them in awhile.

Yes, John's creek is going to give you the best suburban experience with tops schools and such. It has a heavy Asian population, and depending on where you would settle down, highway access can be somewhat of an issue.

North Gwinnett HS can be somewhat of a competitive environment but it’s only about 20% Asian, nowhere near a majority.

I'd say all those areas are great but tell your youngsters to buckle their chinstraps for the competition if you decide on Johns Creek. There are a ton of really smart kids up there.

It’s about 30% now according to recent GADOE report so it is growing.
