It's old and a very loud locomotive runs pretty much straight through the complex...

Default I second that emotion...

That was my first apartment in Vinings. We were on the eastern-most side of the complex right along the train tracks. Our bedroom window was about 30-40 unobstructed feet from the tracks.

I will never forget our first night sleeping in the new place, about 3am..
the train whistle was so loud I thought I would crap myself.

The place is old, but it is the most convenient apartment complex in Vinings, and you do eventually get used to the train. I imagine if you were at a different part of the complex away from the tracks, it wouldn't be too bad at all.

Hope this helps.

I checked this complex out about this time last year. It appeared to be old and rundown for the most part, especially when you considered the price. The unit that they showed me was near the train tracks as well, so I could imagine that the train could be an major issue.

Vinings as a whole is not bad at all, but I would avoid this complex as well as the complexes up the hill off of Mount Wilkinson. You could do a lot better for the same price elsewhere.

The pictures are pretty accurate from what I recall, but keep in mind that most apartment complexes will always put the best possible pictures on their website. You have to also keep in mind that when you go in person they will more than likely show you the model apartment as opposed to the unit that you may actually move into.

I curently live about 5 miles maybe from this complex, right off of highway 41 in a community called The Village at Lake Park. Maybe look into this place, yes it's old but it's a great palce and taken care of very well. and not too pricey.
The Village at Lake Park (http://www.villageatlakepark.com/templates/template_jpi_a_res/default2.asp?w=thevillageoflakepark&c=jpi.onesite. realpage.com&e=1049405&s=1093664&t=template_jpi_a_ res - broken link)

any Post Apartments I think are good, which is what mine used to be. Also there is Post complex on Cumberland pkwy which is maybe a mile from the complex your speaking of and there are alot of good ones behind that vinings Publix right there.
