Does Atlanta have a lakefront or a beach?

Lake Lanier is NE. Gwinnett, Hall, Forsyth counties and beyond

Lake Allatoona is NW--Cobb, Bartow, Cherokee etc

The Atlantic Ocean is about 5 hrs away--Savannah/Tybee Island, Brunswick/St Simon's and Jekyll Island.

It's about 7/8hrs to the Gulf Coast--Florida/AL. Fort Walton/Destin/Panama City--whiter sand, better waves and bluer water than the Atlantic.

There is also a smaller lake on the east side of the city, Norris Lake, and there is a beach and you can have motor boats, sailboats etc. Some of the houses on the lake have sand trucked in and have their own beaches. Most on the lake have their own docks. I have a house there and love it, if you want more info, let me know.

There are small lakefront neighborhoods here and there in the city; there are a couple in the Oak Grove area ie Echo Lake across from Lakeside High. It's rare that a lakefront home there hits the market, though.

It takes us 5.5 hours to get to Destin, not 7 or 8.

LOL. And I'll bet you don't 'Get Lost'--that adds an hour or so.
