The Braves got too much of the bad associated with being located in the city and in the MARTA area, and not enough of the good. The Falcons got the exact opposite, plus big $$, so they are still here.

Something that is not a problem for stadiums in the city that have high-capacity transit connections.
And yet right now, there are parking tickets on Vivid Seats for tonight for $50-70. Not much more than parking prices for Yankee Stadium this weekend. Go figure.

Yep. That is the motivation. Liberty Media is a business. They are doing quite well at their goal of making more money. But some things are more important than money (and often pay out better in the long run). Better owners like Ted Turner knew that.

Also, was in Summerhill on Sunday and the lines were out the door at most every place.

Cost of MTA fare to Yankee Stadium: $3.

No one thinks that transit makes parking cheaper. Transit itself is the more affordable option.

Enjoy your $50-70 parking.

Turner had the TBS contract and a top-5 payroll through the 90s. It was always about money.

Do you really think that Ted Turner wasn't in it to make money and was all about transit access and neighborhood charity? Come on, now.

Cool, I was at the Battery a few weeks ago and the only place we could get into in under and hour was Goldberg's Deli, and even that took well over half an hour. Anecdotes are fun.

Default How much do ride-hailing and delivery services add to ATL traffic?

Does anyone have statistics on how much raid-hailing services add to traffic in the ATL?

And what about delivery services like Amazon, Ubereats, FedEx, etc?

There are bound to be a huge amount of trips involved in this, and from what I hear they will be growing.

Is there anything we need to be doing about this?

Moreover, Turner sold the team to an out-of-town corporation for... Wait for it... Money. Lots of it.
