Less than 2 months after the grand opening, the new Costco in Sharpsburg was the victim of a massive robbery, when a someone walked in last Thursday evening and stowed inside the store until it was closed to steal over $13K worth of items from the Jewelry department.

I agree with the sentiment that the Southside is generally more ratchet than the Northside, but this could have easily happened in Roswell. And Buckhead isn’t immune to smash and grabs type robberies nor is the Westside of Los Angeles.

Now if you really wanted to make an example, you should have used that car jacking turned shooting in the Lowe’s parking lot that happened in East Point a few weeks ago. That’s more befitting for your argument, imo.

Sucks that it happened on the southside. But crime can happen anywhere.

What about the fact that Tiny got ripped off for $750K in Midtown?

How about we all be honest the reason why these types of crime throughout Metro Atlanta is the lackadaisical nature of people acting as if not locking their homes, vehicles, and keeping a clean car without values or items of interest in plain sight inside their vehicles. Which are systemic of the region's constant and rapidly growing affordability gap between salaries and cost of living for the average professional and households?

Do you think one or more Costco employees were in on it?

So its Costco's fault?????

I think the biggest problem in Atlanta is the nonchalance of people like you. "Oh its just part of living in a city." So nothing is done about it. There's no pressure on government officials.

If you drew that from my statement then you are wasting your own and my time with that nonsense of a statement. Where did you come up with that weak correlation that I was somehow blaming Costco and saying there is nothing we can do about it? How Sway? You are REACH towards the stars in that regard...

I swear some of you are interesting...LOL

If you go back and read your post, it really does sound like victim blaming.

And I say that as someone who gets infuriated by people who complain about their cars getting "broken into" when they leave the doors unlocked.
