Only a month ago it was 90+ every day and look where we are now. Is this abnormal weather for November?

Yeah it was a much warmer than average early fall this year, but then definitely seems like a colder than average November so far.

January is generally the coldest month in Atlanta, but you will still see a lot of variance all winter, with some days highs in the 50's and some days in the upper 30's.

We normally go straight from summer to winter and vice-versa in April. This is about as cold as it gets in the winter. We may occasionally have days with highs in the 30's. One thing I noticed from growing up here is that the temperature drops after it the precipitation stops, which is why we don't get much snow here.

From my observation we get around 3 to 4 days where the highs are in 30s every winter.

Yes, it can get colder than this. As someone noted above, sometimes we have a few days where 30's are the high. The weather we are experiencing today and have been for most of November are not typical for this month. I do wonder if we're going to get snow this winter.

This year's weather is not at all like last year's weather, and it's not like the previous several years either.
That is what Atlanta weather is like.
And the north suburbs might as well be a different country when compared to the south suburb's weather.

It gets a lot colder. We regularly have days in the teens. But its usually December and January.

Last year was basically the same, heat continued into early October, then it was mostly below average until December which would end up average. January was average, February was above average, I forgot how March and April was but I'm leaning towards it was average, or slightly above. Every year is like this during the cooler-colder months in Atlanta. Mix of mild, cool, cold, and warm.

For what it's worth this is happening all over the country. Not just Atlanta. We got alittle snow and ice here in Austin this morning. November in the northern hemisphere in general this year is colder than average.
