Several metro Atlanta transit agencies plan to restore some service that was cut amid the coronavirus pandemic.

But even as they welcome some commuters back to public transportation by touting cleaning and other safety measures they’ve implemented, local transit services have hesitated to take one step that would make many passengers feel more comfortable: requiring all riders to wear masks..."

Because down here people actually value personal freedom, if you feel you don't need one, don't wear one, if you feel you do, then do, but don't force your decision on others one way or the other. Also, the who has just come out saying that healthy people should only wear them when tending to corona patients. So either they were wrong and we shouldn't listen to the "experts" and we shouldn't even be in this mess. Or they're right, and no one should be required to wear them.

The WHO said this right after the CDC made a statement that everyone should wear them. However their intention was not to liberate us to our rights but to preserve masks for healthcare workers when there was a mask shortage.

WHO says masks should be saved for healthcare workers, caretakers, and sick people — everyone else should just stay home.
If you were going to follow the WHO's guidelines you wouldnt even beable to go outside right now.

My right to stay alive exceeds your "freedom" not to wear a mask.

This is the second-hand-smoke fight all over again.

They should print up little lanyards and pocket badges that say:

"Under the Constitution I cannot be forced to wear a mask and I am doing so solely as gesture of goodwill and respect toward my fellow citizens."

No, N4C, those masks are designed to take your rights away and force you to submit to the world government.

I definitely value my personal freedom.

That's why I think it's ridiculous that the government forces me to wear clothes in public. It's my body, I can do whatever I want. If you don't like it, don't look.

And I should also be able to masturbate anywhere I want to. It's no infringing on your rights, it's not like rape. If you don't look, it's like it's not even happening.

I'm glad we're heading in the right direction and not requiring masks. I can only hope public nudity and masturbation are next to have their ridiculous bans lifted.

Correct. And while we're at it, let's legalize sex in public. Not just vanilla sex. 50 Shades **** as well. It's a burden on my freedoms to have to wait to go home to get the paddles out.

No one forces you to ride a transit system or enter any building. You choose to do that based on the rules that they have set. Don't like it then go somewhere else.
