Great finds, aries! I'm a big fan of Perkins + Will, how do you like the design?

I think the design is good. And it is a great location.

Your thoughts?

I hope the Wieuca Road Baptist Church always remains. Please don't sell, demolish, and/or redevelop it.

I love the juxtaposition of the church, Buckhead's tall buildings, and the North Buckhead single-family homes/neighborhood. Love this in Midtown too, of course. So original, so Atlanta.

No worries, that won't be happening.

To answer your previous question, I like it - a lot. Just saw on another site that this is moving right along, it's already with the City's zoning review board.

Re the Ritz, it looks like some of the folks in Buckhead are concerned about additional traffic.

Quote:
The Development Review Committee was concerned about the project's impact on traffic, considering the 15,000-square-feet of meeting space the hotel would feature. The project would also include 85 residential units.

Another concern is the impact of the project on a multi-million-dollar traffic improvement at Wieuca Road and Phipps Boulevard, according to feedback from the committee. The project, built with funds from the city of Atlanta and the Community Improvement District, is still in its engineering phase. So far, engineering studies for the roundabout do not anticipate a development as large as the hotel and condo tower, the committee said.

North Buckhead and Ridgeview neighborhoods are also wary of the project's impact, according to people familiar with the initial reaction from the communities.

Nice also Nobu at Phipps Plaza and the high rise development at Houston's, should add more height to the Lenox area.

I hate to see Houston’s go out of business. I hope the Houston’s on Peactree is still open. I love the prime Rib and live jazz.

There's on on northside parkway. Never realized there was one across from Lennox.
