Hi all!

I just found an apartment located near Terrell Mill and Powers Ferry Road. Any insight on this area?

It is not a bad area and definitely convenient - there is a great deal of improvement going on around there with the Marketplace Terrell Mill development.

It is very diverse with a strong immigrant representation. It likes to claim it is part of East Cobb although many purist will claim it is not.

Lots of awesome Brazilian food and bakeries in the area plus Indian, Halal, Mediterranean options. Not enough East or South East Asian food yet though.

The commute is a tad bit over 30 minutes so maybe try something closer?

I stayed at the Sync at Jonquil apartments in Smyrna on Atlanta road that was very nice and closer in to Atlanta itself. I loved the convenience of being near the city, walking distance to parks, restaurants and a grocery.

TL;DR
great area for a yuppie looking for an apartment, probably want to head about 10 mins east if looking to permanently settle down with a young family in the public school system.

This area is nice, busy, and has great access to both the highway, F500 jobs, and the city in general. It's not necessarily the settle down/family friendly part of East Cobb, but rather moreso a good spot for a young professional in an apartment that wants suburban feel with urban access. But once again, you'd probably head a bit further East in East Cobb if you had a spouse and 2 young children heading into school.

Hope that makes sense.
