Again, you seem really offended because I don't like your hangout.

As I said, I'm not the least bit "cool." So why should you be so ticked off?

But honestly we haven't been down there in years. I should go give it another look.
Tony Rice was a stud!

L5P isn't trying to be anything it hasn't been since before you were born. I consider it to be a sub-distric of Inman Park really, which was pretty dumpy not that long ago. It is what it is, a small alternative district of independent businesses. Almost every large City has something similar, none of them really stand out as 'authentic' or particularly original. It's not for everyone, but a lot of people like it or the businesses wouldn't be there.

100%

It's pretty hilarious seeing all of the transplants, young folks, and squares comment on L5P as if it is contrived. Everything in L5P is the way it is because of the people that live in that neighborhood and it has been that way for longer than I can remember.

Little 5 isn't for everyone, but everyone is welcome in Little 5 and those who appreciate that will appreciate the neighborhood. Reading through some of the comments I would venture to guess that the people who do not like L5P find all of the subcultures represented there as being not their cup of tea or just relying on a quick experience like going to dinner or driving through the neighborhood and assuming a lot of about it.

In order to properly understand Little 5 you have to spend time there. Get a slice, sit in the square, and enjoy the free entertainment.

It is good for people watching. Although instead of grabbing a slice before people watching, I'd suggest the Most Excellent Pimento from Candler Market.
