Dunkin' and Baskin Robbins joining the umbrella of Arby's, Buffalo Wild Wings, Jimmy John's, and Sonic Drive In could be a good move. Baskin Robbins could benefit from a brand expansion.

I could see some cost savings from mix stores that are Dunkin'+Jimmy Johns+Baskin Robbins.

One problem Dunkin Donuts, Baskin Robbins, and Jimmy Johns have is that they are primarily hit hard at key times of day only. This leads to them primarily being franchised into tighter spaces with smaller dining rooms than most typical fast food places. Having a larger shared dining room it fits your Breakfast Rush, then the lunch rush, and then the evening ice cream.

I don't think that is nessecarily their goal, but I can see some possibilities.

I would think so, as Inspire Brands moved here not that long ago, they renovated those buildings off 400 just north of 285.

Also, National DCP is the $2B supply chain arm of dunkin, which is already headquarted here if I'm not mistaken.

Exactly, it's stated in one of the articles that this has been in the works prior to COVID.

Inspire Brands was formed when Arby's Restaurant Group merged with Buffalo Wild Wings on February 5, 2018. Buffalo Wild Wings also owned the Rusty Taco chain.
Inspire is a multi-brand restaurant company whose portfolio includes nearly 32,000 restaurants worldwide.
  1. Arby's,
  2. Buffalo Wild Wings,
  3. Rusty Taco,
  4. SONIC Drive-In (September 25, 2018 or $2.3 billion)
  5. Jimmy John's, (September 25, 2019)
  6. Dunkin' (October 25, 2020 announced that it was buying Dunkin' Brands for $11.3 billion. The acquisition was completed on December 15, 2020 )
  7. Baskin-Robbins

In terms of number of locations Inspire Brand (US$14.6 billion (2020)) is probably #4
39,198 McDonald's US$21.07 billion (2020)
37,540 Subway US$16.1 billion (2020)
33,295 Starbucks US$26.7 billion (2020)
