Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms has seemingly brushed off an invitation to appear personally to discuss her administration’s crime fighting initiatives at today’s City Council meeting.
I'm sure she has a great excuse on why not to be there for what has become the most pressing issue in the city and an absolute crisis.

She might not think it’s a crisis as crime is up all over.

It doesn't sound as though she's exactly ignoring the issues.

I read the article, did you?

I see no reason for her to attend a meeting to announce, or defend, the actions she has already proactively proposed.

Bottoms issues new crackdown on bars, clubs amid escalating violence

Bottoms has said that the problem stems from people from out of town partying in Atlanta due to lax COVID-19 restrictions.

Channel 2′s Tyisha Fernandes learned that certain Atlanta nightclub owners have been deliberately putting out flyers in other states, inviting out-of-towners to come to club in Atlanta..."

She hasn’t done anything. It is why she has the blood of two little girls on her hands. Her continued inaction was responsible for those deaths. It’s like you haven’t been paying attention or you don’t live in the CoA. Nothing she has done since March has been “proactive”. It’s either been reactive way after the fact or nothing at all which is what many city council members are complaining about. KLB favorite thing to do is blame others and refuse to take responsibility. There is literally no leadership which is how we got to where we are. You have the city council begging for any semblance of leadership for months now. But according to you she has been “proactive”. Wow.

I personally feel she should have been there to show morality support. Being there doesn’t necessarily ease the problem first hand but it makes her intentions seem stronger atleast. Either way, I hope something is done about it, this crime wave is by no means appropriate for the core of Atlanta.

I said she has made recent(very recent) proposals to combat crime. I agree she has not been proactive prior to now.
