I searched around, but couldn’t find a concrete answer, so I thought I would try here. Does anyone know when the work will be completed on the Adair Park extension of the beltline? Also, does anyone know when the bridge projects along the southside trail will be complete.

In other words, at what point will someone be able to take the beltline uninterrupted from Washington Park to Piedmont Park (or Piedmont Park to Washington Park) again?

The trail will be open this summer, but I would think we're not looking at an uninterrupted trip through there until 2025+ since they're starting to build out the remaining sections

2023 is their estimated time for completing all Southside segments. As you know, any timeline is tentative, so you can also ask these questions at a virtual meeting for the southwest. I've been to them and they're good about staying on time. I also did a very, very quick Google and it seems their Facebook page is linking people to this site for updated photos Apr 2021: https://beltline.org/2021/04/30/atla...es-april-2021/.

The Beltline’s Southside Trail on Wednesday received a $16.5 million funding boost, bringing the paved path two miles closer to its goal of connecting southwest Atlanta neighborhoods to the city's east side.

Why it matters: Once built, the new two-mile segment would extend the Southside Trail from Pittsburgh Yards, where it currently ends, to Boulevard in Grant Park...

... The big picture: When the Southside Trail is complete, a bicyclist will be able to pedal roughly 10 miles on a paved path from Piedmont Park to Washington Park on the opposite side of town — and only have to cross a handful of streets to do so.

This is awesome. I would definitely like to see some rails on the beltline in my lifetime though.

I rode from Piedmont park to Washington park last spring on a mountain bike. It was an adventure. It got a little choppy right where the Westside beltline starts. I am anticipating when they will have the Silver comet connection done. I rode some around Washington park and if you do this there are a lot of hills that you have to ride up.
