"Another major investment is bound for the area around MARTA’s easternmost train station—one that could also be another notch in Y’allwood’s cap.

Capstone South Properties and Domain Capital Group have closed on a vacant, 17-acre site in Stone Mountain where a new studio brand, Electric Owl Studios, is expected to begin construction this month..."

Not too far from Decatur and Emory, that area is ripe for development.

Yeah, it's really convenient to the Druid Hills areas also. I'm surprised it has sat for so long without a lot of focus. The neighborhoods and streets are nice. Lots of food options, particularly Indian.

The homes in those areas are some of the few left directly outside the Perimeter for less than $400k. Many of them are 4 sided brick with full basements and having an architectural flair. I did a little research and it seems many were built in the 70's. We recently purchased one just north or Memorial in a nice little neighborhood close to Hambrick Elementary. I'm excited to see if this studio sparks larger development in the area.
