I work for Oracle, from home. Once a month I fly to the home office.

My wife was entertaining an offer from Piedmont for a Director of Nursing. She declined the offer but I had some great things occur with Oracle. We've decided to move forward as we thought it would be a good move.

Your comment raises an important point, which is that that while there certainly and undeniably have been and continues to be intentional efforts to insure that Fayette County retains a relatively low density of development in order to attempt to preserve the county’s exurban and rural character for as long as possible.

But something to consider is that Fayette County did not really seem to have many requests for heavy development until Trilith Studios (formerly Pinewood Atlanta Studios) was built in the early 2010’s

Something else to consider is that Fayette County has been able to preserve its low-density exurban and rural character because Fayette doesn’t have a heavy development-generating superhighway running through its boundaries.

... That’s unlike many other metro Atlanta region counties (including Fulton, DeKalb, Clayton, Cobb, Gwinnett, Henry, Douglas, Rockdale, Newton, Forsyth, Hall, Jackson, etc.) that do have major superhighway routes running through their boundaries that make it impossible to keep away heavy development proposals.

I hope it doesn't become over developed to a point of attracting riff raff. I am not looking to live in anyplace similar to Atlanta, although I like Atlanta, just not for living.

I don’t know if Fayette County will ever really truly face the same heavy development pressures that other greater Atlanta metro region counties are facing, just simply because Fayette County does not have a mainline Interstate superhighway (like I-75, I-85 or I-20) or an Interstate superhighway spur route (like GA-400, I-575, I-985 or GA-316) running through its borders.

That lack of a direct major superhighway presence in the county has been a major reason why Fayette County has been able to and likely may continue to be able to keep the heaviest development out of its jurisdiction.
