Just heard that new home construction supply is 18 years behind demand! That's absolutely crazy, but believable!! Is anybody having any luck in metro Atlanta with getting appointments and making offers on new homes? Wondering to hear your stories and experiences...

FYI... We have a TH being built in north Forsyth that was supposed to be completed December 2021, now we'll be lucky if it's finished by May 2022. When those twelve homesites opened last April, the builder had all interested buyers come on Saturday and line up "first come, first serve" at the office for a 9am opening time. When we arrived by 6am, there were already two parties waiting ahead of us!!! By 9am, I counted 16 interested buyers --- that's what's going on everywhere. Now it's worse, as a Realtor, I'm not getting my calls returned and am going to offices with no sales people are onsite. It's been impossible.

wishing others better luck

Yesterday I tried to respond this message. I was using IPhone. IPhone spell check messed me up.
It turned my statement "The reviews were terrible" into something awful.
My message was deleted and I got an infraction.

I still want to apologize to anyone who had to read my message.

My lesson learned is to review messages I type before posting them.

Most national builders are struggling. supply chain and labor shortages are crippling them.
toll bros told me 18-24 months to build a new home. Their reviews on consumer affairs looked awful.
I looked at a few other builders and every one of them is making their customers unhappy.

If you are building a new home be prepared for long delays, prices may be increased even with signed contracts, quality of homes being built these days is not great so hire a good inspector that examines the home throughout the build process.

I am not going to repeat what apple spell check did to me.
It was something racist. It is something I will never ever write.
