Looking for good schools, single family home, and place to open a small women's botique. What suburb can anyone suggest to do all three? We were leaning toward Gwinnett County.

Have you looked at Forsyth County? It meets all three.

How about new The Avenue Webb Gin mall in Snellville or The forum at peachtree Parkway in West Norcross? Those shops are in walkable outside malls. They target very upscale customers and women.

You can find a house in Brookwood high school district, arguable best school district in Gwinnett if you look for The Avenue Webb Gin mall.

As for The Forum, you can find a house in NorthView high school district in nearby John's Creek.

Of two, you probably will find cheaper house in Snellville since west Norcross and John's Creek are very expensive and upscale.

Just one more thing, if you target young women (late teen and early 20's), Discover Mill mall is pretty good choice also. I believed those walkable outside malls target more stay home mom types.

I agree with The Avenue, it is very nice and upscale. Also, within a ten minute drive from there you have so many different housing choices and the costs are great.

If you happen to get info on commercial rent costs/sq. ft., would you mind posting that (or sending me PM)? I'm new to the Atlanta area would like to open a martial arts school in either the Gwinnett or south Forsyth areas.

There is a new avenue center going in in Forsyth County off of HWY 141. They are moving dirt and starting on it now. There is supposed to be also an upscale mall going in off of McFarland and 400. Not sure when that will be complete.

This would be an area to consider or even a little further west on the other side of 400. There are already 2 (that I know of) east of 400.

Wow, thanks for all the great info. It looks as though I am on the right track. We are looking in Gwinnett County and along that corridor for great housing and good schools. The Avenue keeps coming up as a great place to put my business. Thanks for the confirmation. Backfist, I will try to update you with commercial space/sq. ft. price as I recieve it. And you the same for me.

Can anyone give me any more information regarding the planned mall and other developments around the McFarland interchange area? I am thinking about buying in that area. Thanks.
