My husband and I are moving from Boston, MA to Mableton and we need shopping advice. We will need a new fridge, leather sectional and area rugs. Can anyone give us any advice on shopping That is close to that area or any other advice on living in Mableton? ....we are near the Publix at Providence.
Thanks

There are cheap area rugs at BJ's Wholesale club on the East/West connector. For the last fridge we bought, we went to Brandsmart in Kennessaw and bought a slightly scratched fridge that was reduced price and then used appliance paint on it, but in general (besides damaged things) Brandsmart isn't that much cheaper than other places.

I also think there's a rug factory or outlet somewhere up in Dalton (or something like that). Maybe others on the board know what I'm talking about.

As far as regular shopping, there's plenty in Cumberland, including the Cumberland Mall, where 75 meets 285. By road, you can take the East/West connector East to Cumberland Pkwy.

I should have also added with regard to general shopping:

Grocery Store:

Publix: You're right there by it.
Kroger: A few miles west along Floyd Road

Sit-Down Restaurants:

East West Connector:

About five to seven miles northwest,

OR

Cumberland Area

OR

Smyrna

OR

Douglasville

OR

basically anwhere

You might want to purchase a map. The main commercial thoroughfares close to your area are:

Floyd Road
Veterans Memorial Highway
Austell Road
South Cobb Drive
Cobb Parkway
Atlanta Road
East-West Connector
Thornton Road
