I too live in SW Atlanta but I drive downtown to Collier Road to see my OBGYN. They are: awog. I love the office and have been going there since I relocated to Atlanta 2 years ago.

Be sure to call a few months in advance for an appointment. When I was trying to find a Dr., everyone was booked and wouldn't take new patients until October or November. However, I was able to get in a Piedmont on Collier Rd. It may be the same place that DofThoreau is speaking of, but I'm new here too. The office is really nice, but I had to pay to park in the parking garage to go to a Dr.'s appointment????!! What??!! I was really mad about that.

In that case I recommend you look into this site ICAN of Atlanta. You want to make sure you don't end up with an unnecessary c-section just because it is convenient for the doctor. If you already have c-section then Dr Tate is the only doctor I would recommend. He is a member of ICAN and he will not trick you into a c/s.

If it helps, I have to second Suzie's recommendation. Dr. Joseph Tate is AWESOME, as is his whole family. I drove almost an hour from Henry County for all of my ob appointments just to see him. Also, his patients at ECL really get top treatment because he is so well-liked and respected there.
