My brother and 12-year old nephew are visiting us in Atlanta this week.

They want to go to the High Museum of Art.

Can you suggest a place for lunch nearby? There will be 5 in our party (including 2 teens).

Similarly, is there any place to go for lunch after we visit the World of Coca-Cola? on another day?

Any suggestions are most appreciated.

Can't comment on places near the High, but for the World of Coke trip, I'd try either Burgers & More (great sandwiches) or Luckie Food Market (better food, but still affordable). They're both on Ivan Allen Jr Blvd- the road that runs behind WoC and the aquarium.

Depending on how fancy you want to go, here are some suggestions:

Spice Market: (probably a little much for lunch - located in the new W Hotel) Spice Market and a review of it Creative Loafing Atlanta | Food & Drink | First look: Spice Market

Shout: (a little more casual than Spice Market) H2S

Tap: (you could easily walk to it - it's right next door to the High) TAP: Home

Crescent Avenue has a few restaurants and not a bad walk either:

Vickery's: Vickery's Bar & Grill
South City Kitchen: South City Kitchen Restaurant - Contemporary Southern Food in Midtown, Atlanta GA -Untitled Document

Twisted Taco (actually on 12th Street) Twisted Taco

My vote would be for South City Kitchen since it is "nouvelle Southern".

Default High Museum (& Where to Have Lunch?)

Great suggestions! We are expecting many visitors over the summer and hope to try the restaurants you've suggested. The links you provided are very helpful.

Thank you!

If I were a 12 yo, I'd be all about the desserts...for that, I'd go to Einstein's (12th and Juniper). Their desserts are to die for.
