Any ideas? I am looking for something really out of this world for a six year old girl (not an American Girl Doll fan)!

My husband would want to know how a restaurant could be fun-- but he can be a real stick in the mud.

Uhm... Does it have to be in Cobb?

How about Young Chefs Academy in Sandy Springs (there is also a location in Smyrna Market Village)? Kids can learn about culinary basics and eat what they cook. Party packages start from $275 for 10 kids. Cake, chefwear, and gift bags are extras.

Hey, I don't have kids and have never been there, but my wife says it's a fun place for kids. <shrug>

Next time you're near a Chuck E Cheese, stop in and spend a little time there. I give you about 5 minutes before you run screaming out the front door and schedule a vasectomy to ensure that you'll never have the need to go there again.....lol.

Chuck e Cheese....not our thing! It doesn't have to be in Cobb. It could be a regular restaurant that kids would find interesting (and adults too).

Have you taken your kids to a Teppan steakhouse ever? My daughter wanted that for her birthday 'most every year for years. The show is exciting and the food is good.

We think the best value in the area is the Asahi, in the Kroger shopping center at Sandy Plains and Shallowford. We've tried some others (e.g. Benihana by Northpoint Mall) but found them to be more expensive - and in the case of the Benihana, a bit more upscale in decor than the Asahi - but definitely inferior in quality of food and performance.

Thanks! That was our back up as we go there often! We have probably crossed paths. I think that is where we are going to end up.

I love th kids big eyes when the fire flares up! We haven't done a birthday there yet but have seen many.

Someone else mentioned Varsity. So I'm going to check that out as well.
