I lived in Towne Lake for years and now live in Bridge Mill. I love the area, I can't believe someone said there is not as much to do in that area. Downtown Woodstock has great restaurants and always has stuff going on around the park. There are great walking and biking trails. If you want to go to Town Center it's not that far. I agree with who said you couldn't pay me to live near Barrett Pkwy. As far as commuting, it really depends what time you leave. I work in downtown Atlanta and take an Express bus. I get in early and leave early. Right now 575 is pretty bad, I do not deny that, it's been worse with the construction. Hopefully when that is done it will be better again. It is easier to get to 75 from Towne Lake then where I am but I don't need to go to 75 often. You can take back roads from Woodstock to Kennesaw and probably get there faster then trying to get to 75. When I go that way I rarely get there through 75. I didn't know the Avenues was coming. I think the area is really pretty, I like that it's hilly and very wooded, great access to the lake. I can go to the end of street and go to the lake. I personally like the this area better then Kennesaw, though I think Kennesaw is better then a lot of other areas.

Default And?

There was a new question about Woodstock posted yesterday, so the thread was revived. Is that so wrong?

Totally agree, we just moved to Towne Lake Hills 4 months ago and love it so far. Very pretty and clean area. The residents I feel like take pride in their homes and neighborhoods.

And to the OP, Barrett Parkway and all of its shopping amenities are only a 15 minute drive down 575. I personally would not want to live anywhere off of Barrett Parkway. I've never driven around there without sitting in congestion and traffic.

People, Barrett Parkway is only a small part of what is known as "Kennesaw."

Lived in that area before moving to CA. Both are nice. Personally, I prefer Woodstock. It's a stone's throw from Kennesaw, more quaint IMO, but depending on commute times, Kennesaw might be your better bet. Choose wisely, though. Barrett Parkway traffic is brutal most of the day.
