NORCROSS is a decent area. You may want to look at the apartments in Peachtree Corners area. The homes in Peachtree Corners, while above average price, also tend to keep their value. Also check out *Dowtown Norcross* for a wonderful community with a cohesive, small town feel.

Kay took the words right out of my mouth...these areas are some of the best that Gwinnett has to offer.

I’m originally from Green Bay, WI and have lived in Atlanta for almost 6 months with my partner.

I live in the Sandy Springs area and work downtown. I am about 12 mi north of where I work and I take the Marta (train) to work each day. I love that I don't have to spend much money on gas and it's stress free because I don't have to fight the traffic that is so horrible around here!! My girlfriend works in Norcross and has a pretty easy commute to work by car. It takes her about 20-25 minutes each way. No complaints from her!

I relocated to Atlanta for a job opportunity and I think it was a really great decision. I spent a week in Atlanta before moving. I searched for apartments, explored different areas/neighborhoods, drove around a lot, etc. It was a great experience and I'm glad I took the time to do my research because I love my apartment complex. If you are looking for an apartment I suggest you call Promove. It's free - you tell them what you're looking for and they'll setup appts for you. It's a great service!

The weather is great here...I will NEVER miss the Wisconsin winters! The Northern Georgia mountains are beautiful. My allergies were pretty bad down here, pollen coats the cars and streets in Spring, but I saw a doctor and got that checked out right away.

Overall, it's been a very positive experience for me. I don't think I'd ever go back to Green Bay, that's for sure!

Best of luck to you!

I would be very cautious about buying property in Norcross or that area. I would recommend an extended visit to personally assess the various neighborhoods and their feel. Don't just look at properties on the web.
