It is a townhome community located off South Atlanta Road and 285. The area is very industrial however it is becoming increasingly residential. Pulte is the builder, they have several communities in that area. However I am considering purchasing a townhome in that community. It is close to the city and inside the perimeter. Does anyone have any information about the community? Is the railroad close by active? I do like the community, I know if I buy there I would at least have to stay for 5 years.

If I were you, I would just go get a resale in Chadsworth next door. They are selling way lower and are basically the same floorplan. As for the area, it is good and getting better. Great commutes into town and easy access to Vinings and West Village.

If you like trucks, you're home.

I just moved to Smyrna and to get anywhere I'm interested in going, I travel down South Atlanta Road or South Cobb Drive. I find the whole close mixture of truck stops and industrial blight with sparkling new townhomes and condos just plain wierd.

And yes, the train tracks are active. You won't easily avoid trains anywhere in Vinings/Smyrna, but they aren't a big problem. Much more charming than all the trucks waiting to get on 285 at Atlanta Road (and literally hogging two full lanes and half of a third if you travel south on 285 from there).
