Me and my family wish to move and leave this sorry-excuse for a city, Albany, GA. Oh, by the way, just for the record, Please do not consider moving to this small cow town!!!

I was thinking of either Jackonville or Atlanta.

We are young with a daughter, fresh out of college.

My major was marketing and my wife's is medical assisting.

Please direct us to places where we can live affordably ( renting) and where we have our choices of jobs and things to do.

I want to know about the school systems as well. My daughter is very young so it is not as important, but just for future references.

Also, any job prospects. Please assist me.

Thanks

A study released this week identified Jacksonville, FL as the #1 city for childcare.

You need to be very focused on your priorities --career and quality of life. I would begin by researching potential employers and then go from there.

Douglas and Henry counties are growth areas which might offer the type of future you seek.

Albany sucks.. I managed to escape about 6 months ago... don't blame you for wanting to leave... it's the most backwards town I've ever seen in my life... nothing good about it at all

Go to Atlanta! I moved from ATL to JAX 5 years ago and I am moving back to ATL next week. JAX is very expensive (in comparison to ATL). Florida has very high property taxes, utilities, and homeowners insurance. Not to mention the fact that the house are very expensive. You will get a much nicer and larger home in Atlanta for a cheaper price. Atlanta also has much better schools (I am a former teacher and have taught in both places).
