My husband will be working in the Cummings area. We have 2 girls 11,12. Looking for a change of pace, Fl is busy and houses are stacked on top of one another. However I still need to be able to keep the kids busy(and of course good schools). Husband will be travling half the month so I REALLY need somewhere I will feel safe. Would love to be in the mountians. Any help would be great

Anywhere in Forsyth county is great. The farther north you go, the more rural, but better mountain view and most of Forsyth county is predominately white, if that makes a difference to you. If you prefer a more suburban feel, Suwanee and Buford in Gwinnett County are good options with good schools and are not far from Cumming. I can't vouch for Forsyth, but I know for sure that most of Suwanee and Buford are safe areas.

There are plenty of posts on this forum by former Floridians that are happy with life in Forsyth County. I think you'll find what you're looking for there.
