I've been hearing there are plans for a Disney themed park in Henry. Is there any truth to this and where are they going to put it?

I haven't heard of these plans. I think Atlanta is too close to Orlando to be a desirable location for another Disney theme park.

It would be nice to have additional places of interest in the Atlanta area. Once there was some discussion of creating a theme park around/in Stone Mountain and I suppose there were too many problems.

With the terrible traffic I guess we need to spend every dime on transportation.

What I've heard is that all these Disney rumors started over the 1,500 acre Dell Webb Sun City "active adult" retirement/golf community. Dell Webb's new development is just across the Henry County line and will be opening the first phase later this year.

Someone told me they were going to put the theme park at exit 222/221 and that's why there are plans to build a luxury hotel on Eagle's Landing Pwky. If it does occur,I guess it would be good for the economy. Right now, it's hard enough getting to exit 224!
