Ran across some listings in Kennewick Place by Beazer Homes (in either Alpharetta or Kennewick, depending on who you ask).

Any feedback on either the subdivision or the builder? Thumbs up? Thumbs down?

One of my co-workers just bought a new Beazer home in alpharetta. He said he would never buy a beazer home again (didn't ask for details though).

That subdivision does look nice though..but it is pretty far away (lots of traffic I assume).

As a professional in the industry, my experience with Beazer Homes has been positive. Good warranty.

Find a good buyer agent to help with your new construction purchase - particularly one who will rebate some of the commission to the buyer. With respect to new homes, the services of a buyer's broker are built into the price.

Big bump ..but please help this first time buyer.

Agent sent me a listing yesterday on a unit in Kennewick Place. Model is Springer. I looked at the available listings and there units of different models on sale here.

Things I want to know

1) Any reviews on the builder - John Thomas Homes?
2)How to choose which model type? Should we prefer more bedrooms?
3) Personally we wont be using basement. We can afford a house with basement there. Should I or should I not buy a house with basement? We plan to stay there only 5-7 years.
4) How are these schools ?
Alpharreta High -- Supposed to be a very good school ?
Hopewell Middle -- Top rating in greatschools. Any insight?
Manning Oaks elem - Greatschools has it at 8. Any insight?
5) I am in IT and currently working midtown but will try for a job in alpharetta in future. This would be a killer location then..right?
6) We are from India and expecting a baby next year. Any insights on the demographics there? Will we fit in?
7) Insight from any current owners there or people who have lived or living in the homes constructed by this builder?

We will be visiting this weekend and will check to make sure that we are not one of the first movers into that community.

Thanks in Advance...

Praveen
