Which is better, the Eastside of Atlanta or the Westside? Please give reasons to support your answers... (and how do i post a poll?)

Your place of employment would be a major deciding factor for me - you don't want to have to commute clear through Atlanta to get to work. Anything close in to Atlanta is a no no for finding a home. Once you get on the ourskirts a bit, I believe they are comparable.

NG is right, if you are looking for a place to live, you need to provide much more specific information...as far as the greater metro area goes, there are many good options both to the East and West. However, if you're talking about intown, that's another story (cough cough East cough cough).

It will only be a matter of time (when) before the Westside of Atlanta catches up with the Eastside of Atlanta. Yes eastern side of Atlanta has most attractions e.g. Piedmont Park, Zoo, Aquarium (downtown) and shopping e.g. Dekalb Farmers Market, and entertainment districts that are recognize by those OTP and ITP. Real estate is higher on the eastern side of Atlanta, but you know what, those same areas were once like West side of Atlanta, if not worse, some places didn't suffer some of the set backs as other areas of Atlanta with higher concentration of mortgage fraud and rentals vs owner occupancy.

It takes pioneers (honest, hard working, watchful professionals=people) to turn a neighborhood around without pushing out the elderly or other hardworking generations whose family been in that area for years to still remain affordable to all.
