Im a 29yr. old, single mother of three children. I currently live in Michigan and have a 3bdrm Section 8 Voucher. I'm employed at the University of Michigan Hospital and I am a part time student(Pre-Nursing).

I would really love to relocate to Atlanta (or the Atlanta Area) when my lease is up in April 2009. I am looking for a stable single-family home or townhouse(prefer) to rent. I am a very clean, non smoking, drug free, hard working individual. I am looking to move into a home where I can stay long term or atleast until I finish Nursing school. I've never destroyed any rental property, been evicted, late on rent, or sited for noise or traffic. I have had my voucher since 2001 and have never had any problems with section 8 on either end.

Ive rented at my current residence approx. 3yrs. I would really perfer if the home is located near a elementary and middle school. But I do have a vehicle to commute. If you may have a property or know someone who may have a property at this time please contact me. I have no issues matching security deposit to rent. (Ex. Rent: $900 = $900 Security Deposit)

<mod cut- don't post personal contact info>

Are there houses available in Atlanta with a section 8 voucher or just town homes and apartments? I live in Oregon and there are lot's of houses that take vouchers.

There are houses and townhomes/condos. Check out the ATL Housing Authority site for the county you are looking to move to and they usually have a listing. Also craigslist has several rentals and the details should tell you if they accept section 8 or not.

..and a reminder....

DO NOT move here & be a burden on our taxpayers. Stay in Michigan until you obtain enough skills/education that you can obtain a job, get off welfare & move yourself down!

Whoever is reading this...don't worry. If you're middle class/upper middle class you will not have to deal with this. Georgia's growth is not all tea partiers and section 8 'Don't be a menace' rejects.

This is not an accurate representation of Georgia. Please check the latest statistics and figures as provided by legitimate sources.
