Okay, I was driving 30 miles over in a construction zone in Duluth,GA.
The officer said that I was supposed to get my license taken away for going to fast in a con. zone, but he said he didn't report it. On the ticket, however, he wrote 30 m over in Cons. Zone. What is the damage? meaning...how many points? how much is the fine? what will happen to my insurance??

Im really in need of some answers! I'm freaking out!

Hey ayoon, yeah speeding in a construction can be a serious matter. I go to a law enforcement forum where we post law enforcement police, federal topics etc. The site is Police & Law Enforcement - Officer.com Police News, Forums, Links and More for Police Officers, Law Enforcement, Corrections, Sheriffs and More, but go to forums then the "Ask a Cop" forum. Here is the direct link Ask a Cop - Police Forums & Law Enforcement Forums @ Officer.com , post it in the http://traffic enforcement section, ...play.php?f=197 section it will require you register. But it's well worth it since it will get your question answered. I believe only police officers can answer your question in the ask a cop section. Sorry I can answer your question beyond that, just take it easy on the road you will get where you need to go. If you get into a bad wreck and kill yourself you sure won't get there. I thought I would come back and edit my response, it seems as if I didn't answer your question, if he didn't report it you may be fine. You probably just have to pay a fine, he had to write something on the ticket. Post in that forum and see some officers say.

If the ticket you got says you have the option not to appear in court then it is no big deal.

There have been numerous cases of DOT workers getting killed by speeders in construction zones. In some areas, you face possible prison time and large fines for it. In others, just a large fine. You should seek the advice of an attorney.

I know I was going pretty fast, but honestly..I was going with the flow of traffic. It was a "construction zone" but it was finished, and there were no construction workers there. :/

Gahh, the officer said that we didn't have to go to court, so I guess it's all good?

Just because you don't have to go to court doesn't mean you won't have to pay a fine or won't get points on your license - and you deserve both!
