I never liked LNT and always preferred BBB so not surprised they are going out of business but what they call a close out sale is a joke...for weeks they had 20% of some items and 10% off others...who are they kidding, prior to that we all had 20% coupons off everything...and now several weeks into the closeout they have 30% off the more popular items at the Northpoint mall. What a complete joke.

that's because liquidators now own the company. It was on the news the other day how they jack up the prices. They showed an orginal/clearance LNT price at lets say 29.99, then the liquidators price at 39.99. Same thing with Circuit City.

This is customary when companies are going out of business. When a liquidators moves in, they do not start out giving you 70% off. It starts at like 10% and then increase discount percentages as time progresses.

BBB is such a better store glad to see LNT's go. Some of these stores have been outdated for some time now and is no wonder why they are suddenly closing. Most of the closing stores have been in trouble for years (like Circuit City, Levitz, Sharper Image, Linens and Things, etc.) but are now blaming the economy. Those places should have gotten up to speed or closed sooner.

I really loved it at my local Circuit City this weekend....

"Up to 40% off - now!!!!"

Go inside. Digital cameras had been marked UP by 10%-20%, then they were taking 15% off the marked up stuff and calling it a liquidation sale. Oh... the music CDs were 40% off, though. YAWN

Yes as I exited the LNT and saw the sign for Circuit City as they are right beside each other in my neighborhood...I just ignored it...sick of these stores...let them just go out of buisness and fast.
