Lawrenceville is going over an extreme makeover downtown.
Overall, Lawrenceville is not that bad for a large population county seat.
It does have it's dicey areas, but downtown is making a change for the good.

Lawrenceville is in Gwinnett county and North of Atlanta....it has good schools, lots of shopping areas and is not as crime infested as South of here....still, predators manage to find their way here.....so be cautious, naturally.
People are friendly....of course....

The best part of Lawrenceville is within Peachtree ridge high school districts. Discover Mill mall is also within that region. A lot of new and expensive homes are being build (500s) there but you can still find affordable existing home (high 100s and low 200s).

Avoid Berkmar, South Gwinnett school district within Lawrenceville.

I currently work in Norcross and Live in Lilburn, right next to Lawrenceville. The commute will be nice if you can stay off of i85. I cross over i85 on Beaver Ruin and the commute is really nice (13 miles in 20 - 25 minutes).

Plenty of stuff to do in the area also.
