We're at a decent size considering how far away we are from Mexico. Texas has a lot of Mexican immigrants. At A&M I even saw several cars with Mexican license plates. The people I knew from near Brownsville and south Texas all knew a little bit of spanish. But that's a lot easier when you're right next to Mexico!

Atlanta's a bigger destination for Mexican immigrants than Miami, the "Capital of Latin America"/Latin American mecca. Interesting.

We have more Mexican's than all of Florida's metro's combined, but we are still extremely backwards and solely black & white don't-you-know. And all of our transplants are Southern hicks, which totally outnumber everyone else.

It is interesting and basically a class issue. Miami attracts the wealthy white Mexicans from the DF with money and the politically connected while Atlanta attracts the other.

Prove it, Bob. The huge difference in the number of Mexican's attracted to Atlanta versus Miami/SE Florida begs to differ. Please provide verifiable stats and proof to this claim of yours.

I'm afraid you've been drinking the Miami Kool-Aid for so long you can no longer tell the difference between myth and reality, especially when it comes to your misguided and biased pre-conceived opinions of Atlanta.

Miami is a majority latino city but very little of the population is from Mexico. Cuba is dominant and central and south American cities account for a higher share of the population than Mexico. In spite of the racial stereotyping Bob would have you believe, there are more of all types of Mexican-Americans in Atlanta, both rich and poor.

I see more Mexicans in Cobb and Gwinnett. I dont mind them moving here in force though. They seem pretty peaceful, too themselves. If we could get LA Dallas numbers, that would be dope.
