Maybe the media wants people to think NYC is for white people only(i.e-Seinfeld)

No one says anything when it's all white. As soon as blacks do something, it's up for debate.
I said it was "just a guess" dude..are there 8 or 9 reality shows in Atlanta starring white people?? Can you list them?

There are actually a few mostly white reality shows that are/were filmed in Atlanta...some of the one's I've seen advertised:

Big Rich Atlanta
Say Yes to the Dress
Auction Kings
Property Virgins
Curb Appeal
Good Eats

There are also others like Bad Girls Club that are mixed...but some of the flashier, more popular ones have mostly black casts. I wish about 90% of them would go away. Most them are anything but reality - but that isn't limited to Atlanta reality shows. They are pretty worthless overall, but unfortunately they seem to be the future of television.

I think the show does a great job of depicting Atlanta's nouveaux riches: fake, flashy, catty folks with no real wealth who think they are more important or significant than they really are.

When the recession forced me to take a restaurant job, I dealt with these folks on a daily basis. They were truly obnoxious. They would say how much money they had, and always wanted to make it a point that they were better than me and that I must be stupid because I worked in a restaurant (not realizing that many of us working there had gone to college or had degrees--some of my staff had MBA’s--and simply couldn’t get jobs elsewhere).

Yes they would say these things to me while holding their large designer handbags and their key chains in hand so you could see they were driving a luxury (most likely leased) vehicle. But usually I’d get cussed out by these folks because while they are so quick to flex about how important they are and what they had, they were the main ones trying to get drinks without paying for them and I’d tell them they’d have to pay or their credit cards declined or they otherwise didn't have enough money to pay for their food when they got to the register.

One night I stopped at a Wendy's drive thru and some folks like this went through in limousines. It was three limos. If you are so rich and so important, why are you in the Wendy's drive thru? They held up the line, carried on like they were important and kept other customers from either getting our food or blocking the driveway with their limos so none of us could leave. I got out of my car and cussed them out for being so rude and blocking everyone else in. It was the most ridiculous carrying on I'd ever seen!

RHOA is very real unfortunately.
