I decided to make a large photo gallery dedicated to the urban core of Atlanta and to focus more on the streetscape and life on the bottom of the large buildings we always see in skyline photos. It took me roughly 3-4 hours to take a load of pictures and filter out pictures I didn't like walking up and down the core(Note it's like 3-4 miles each way). I might dislike Atlanta, but I love urban photography and I felt the only pictures you see of Atlanta are the skyline itself...people don't like taking pictures of the streets or urbanity. If this is against the rules, then please lock the thread. Since there are ALOT of pictures(Over 50), I decided to just link to the galleries themselves. I split it up into Downtown, Lower/Central Midtown, and Upper Midtown. I hope you enjoy the photos. I'm planning on getting night pictures this weekend when I'm with my friends.

Downtown Gallery

Lower/Central Midtown Gallery

Upper Midtown/Atlantic Station/Atlanta Skyline

You missed Tech Square. Lots of activity going on there. And Buckhead is important as well. But thanks

I went to Tech Square, but at that point, I was too tired from walking and just wanted to get back in my car and head home. After walking like 6 miles, your legs start to get tired. I'll probably try to get there this weekend. Buckhead just isn't urban enough to me and not much street activity.

Thanks guys.

Excellent pictures. Downtown really looks great. There's also some pretty cool classic mid rises on peachtree place that would fit in well with the lower/central midtown gallery.

Yeah, I forgot about those buildings. They seem to stick out though from all the new high-rises. A very high contrast between modern and historic.

Thanks, but to be fair, I never went south of Marietta/Decatur St. or took extensive pictures of Woodruff park lol. I'd rather not tarnish Atlanta by doing that.

I'd like to see some photos like that of the Perimeter area. It has become amazingly urban there.
