We are thinking about looking at houses in the Seven Hills community in Paulding County. How are the schools that serve that community; Shelton Elementary, McClure Middle and N. Paulding High? Test scores on the Great Schools website aren't the best but would love to know about the schools from someone local. Do you have any information about Seven Hills? What do you like and/or dislike? How is the traffic getting to I-75 South in the mornings?
Thanks!

Seven Hills was developed beside a landfill turned "transfer station". It may smell lovely in the summer heat b/c of the vents there to allow the gases to escape.

Seven Hills blvd is the road that takes you to the Solid Waste Transfer Station and Recycling Center also there is a shooting range nearby and some residents complain about the shots being heard throughout the subdivision.

Some would argue that they don't hear anything or smell anything...that's not enough for me. If the chance is there that I would smell the sweet smell of a decomposing landfill, I would have to pass even if the house was free. Ok, well maybe I'd take it and re-sell it. I am picturing Christmas Vacation and the sewer/Randy Quaid/and the old uncle

Getting to 75 from Seven Hill's is not an easy task. I'm guessing 15-20 minutes minimum with all the traffic.

There's some deals in there though. Someone I know foreclosed on a home in there that they paid $310K for, sold for $230K recently

We are looking at a home that is foreclosed in Seven Hills. Should we reconsider with the landfill and shooting range?? We love the area with all the extras but we are trying to start a family and I am concerned about the landfill.....
