I take it that you would pronounce this Aye-Tee-Ell-iens. Good collective label for those ITP and OTP.

I'm a former resident of Atlanta and I'm looking to come back to Atlanta! Would you say that residents prefer to be called Atlantans or Atlantiens??

It's "Atlantan" although I hear plenty of people mess it up and say "Atlantian" smh

i find it kind of irritating when people bump a thread and people are still answering the OP— there should be some kind of feature where a new question can be added to the OP or something. anyway, i either hear Atlantan: "at-lann-tan" or ATLien: "ay-tee-ell-ian"

Back before all you transplants showed up, this was never a question. It's Atlantan. Like someone else said, always has been, always will be. As a native Atlantan, I can tell you that Atlantans prefer to be called Atlantans.

Well if you want to include everyone, why not "Metro Areans"

Oh wait.

Metro Areanites maybe?

I tend to think in historic terms so I like calling myself a Terminal.

But I'll take Atlantan. And even Atlantian.

BTW...I'm in Windhoek, Namibia. So its getting on midnight, in the hotel bar, listening to a bunch of white German-speaking Namibians say the f-word a whole f-ing lot...while I drink a South African cider.

Hi y'all.
Well, the term is beginning to grow on me.
