. Get a Brita or PUR filtering system through the faucet.

If you have a modern refrigerator, make sure your water filter is good. Cheaper than bottled water in the long run, if it's an issue.

Just used WD-40 on my whole shower this past weekend....took the white scum right off and really cleaned up the door. The floor to my shower has never looked so good! Just thought I would share my new discovery. I might actually enjoy cleaning the shower now!

Didn't it make the floor slippery?

No, you would think it would leave it slippery but it really wasn't slippery. And the spell, although it lasted a little bit really wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I actually got the idea from a friend of mine for my glass shower door so while I was doing that I figured I would try it on the floor. And it worked awesome!

WD-40? I'm the manliest of mainly manly men .... but even I don't like the stink of WD-40 in the house. I wash my hands in soap and then walk around the house like a surgeon (hands up) with soap on my hands letting it soak in for 5 or 10 minutes just to get that smell off of me [same after tuna fish sandwich].

Not to be Mr. Greenearth here.... but I would look for a natural alternative to WD-40. If the oil of WD-40 works, I'm sure a natural oil alternative would work just the same. Sorry I don't have one to suggest off the top of my head that I know for sure works (olive oil, canola oil?). WD-40, as it rinses off the shower, is just one more (set of) chemicals to find it's way into the water system.
