What are some good coffee shops or cafes that have live music? I was interested in revisiting this summer, and would love to see some live musicians play.

Not interested in bars/clubs, though.

So far I have heard good things about Eddie's Attack.

Also, does Atlanta have a Farmers Market with Live Music?

Interested in Singer-Songwriter/Folk/Country style

Thanks!

Did you mean 'Eddie's Attic', in Decatur instead of 'Eddie's Attack'?

There are probably several coffee shops with live music in this area--Little 5Points, Decatur, Candler Park, VA Highland.

Those all look cool. Are there any in the heart of downtown Atlanta? Like on Peachtree St?

Urban Grind is downtown on Marietta Street.

I'm certain there are several on/near Peachtree St. The Fox Theater is located on Peachtree, a major Atlanta landmark located near the beginning of midtown--lots of dining and entertainment there.

The Georgian Terrace Hotel is 'across the street' from the Fox, IIRC, a historic hotel. I would definitely visit the Fox and have a cup of coffee there. Then meander down North Avenue to the Varsity for a chili dog and onion rings. Good times.

Kavarna in Decatur (Oakhurst area) has the ATL Songwriters and other live music on Saturday nights. And there's a community group that get together to play on Sunday evenings -- guitars, keyboard, fiddle, and voice. It's great. I love listening to them!

It may not be a coffees shop, but several local BBQ joints have regular live bands, usually blues. Check out Fat Matt's (in Atlanta) and Maddie's (in Decatur). The BBQ is great!!!
