Help! So my wife and I have been planning a move to Atlanta for some time now thinking she would have to work in the north (Alpharetta). Well, it turns out that her employer changed things up on us and she is now going to be working in the Kennesaw, Acworth area! We loved the swim tennis communities in Alpharetta and Roswell and are looking for something similar in Marrietta. Unfortunately, we don't know anyone in Atlanta so it would be nice to have people our age (late 20's) around so we can make some friends.

We looked in Marrietta briefly on our last visit but are really not sure about where we should be looking now. Our price range is roughly $350K. Any suggestions on areas/zip codes where we should look. We don't have any kids so schools aren't really an issue. I have to work either downtown or drive to the airport so we would rather not move all the way out to Kennesaw. (I know this will be a nightmare on 75, I'll just have to get used to leaving at 6AM).

Thanks!!!!

You may want to consider Smyrna. So much going on here, tons of young people, new construction, swim/tennis, etc. The newer stuff is more than $350 but some of the cluster communities may offer homes for less. Easy commute to the airport and your wife would have a reverse commute to Kennesaw so it shouldn't be a problem. There are also a lot of new developments popping up around Atlanta Road. If you have a chance to come back, Smyrna is a good place to look around.
