I'm kinda surprised I'm doing this, but here goes....

I may be moving up your way this Summer! What I'm seeking is somewhere between downtown & Pike County. Clayton is not going to be considered. I'd like to be somewhere near decent medical facilities (that leaves out Spalding). So I guess that leaves Henry, Fayette & Coweta.

Based upon the criteria above (as well as somewhere safe & affordable), which areas stand out? I thank all of you, liberals & conservatives alike, in advance.

Young/old? Kids/no kids? Rent/own? Budget? C'mon- you know the drill about asking questions without giving details.......

Shut it Bob! lol

Ok, I'm middle aged, no kids. Renting at first (I know better). Would prefer access to roads of size (not just interstates), and the store.

Check out Newnan. You might be able to snag a loft /house near the Square.

IMO, you get the best of both worlds - small town charm, big city convenience.

Newnan is high on the list, as is the area between there & PTC (if that area has a name). PTC may be a bit too rich for my blood. In Henry, I'm hearing bad things about Stockbridge & even McDonough. True or fales?

I haven't heard much good about Stockbridge or McDonough since the Clayton schools lost accreditation- sounds like everyone is moving from Clayton to those two areas. Of course, that could all be hearsay....

That's what I hear as well. I dunno.

Any other thoughts?

I second the Newnan area. I just get a classier feel from there than I do the Henry communities.
