I am planning to move to Atlanta and I am looking for a nice affordable area in the suburbs. I currently work for the school district and I would like to continue my career with the district.

My questions please direct me to a few nice affordable suburbs with a nearby school district. I don't mind driving but nothing excessive such at two or more hours is excessive for me.

I am married and our children will be in college...hopefully in Atlanta if they choose to relocate. They will be high school graduates. Any suggestions for colleges? I will be working on my ED.D as well.

Thank you for your help we really appreciate it.

Do you have a job? Your post isn't clear.

If not, every school district in Metro Atlanta is laying off people.

DeKalb County is about the most affordable county in the Atlanta Metro (I don't know much outside of Fulton, Fayette, DeKalb, Cobb, Forsyth, and Gwinnet counties when it comes to affordability). Decatur and surrounding areas are very nice.

Here are the colleges they can choose from:

Georgia Tech
Emory University
Georgia State
Clark Atlanta
Perimeter College
Morehouse
Spelman
Kennesaw
Agnes-Scott

What school district do you work for? Also, please define affordable with a price range. I serve Cobb County and can think of several places but need more info.
