I think someone with a popular message and a very well-organized campaign could do it. Sort of like a white Obama.

Do you think blacks in Atlanta will vote for a white candidate over a black candidate? I still have a hard time believing they will.

There are numerous topics about the Atlanta Mayors race that have gone on in the past and even not so long ago as well as a current one, and the topic of race within the race is actively discussed in those, which a search in the forum will bring up. So there's not really a reason to start yet another discussion on this topic. Please search around and add to the existing topic(s).
