I have considered sending my grandson for residential placement at Inner Harbour in Douglasville, GA. Would like some real reviews and feedback from former students.

Hi I will just offer my experience as a counselor at this facility since you have not had any feedback. Please keep in mind that I worked at this facility about 10 years ago so I am sure much has changed. However, my experience as a counselor was very positive. The staff was very knowledgable and caring. My clients were between the ages of 7 - 10 years. The program was very structured (what most children with behavioral concerns need) and activity oriented. There was adequate time for the children to fellowship with one another and a behavioral reward system in place to help quell inappropriate behavior. School was held on-site. The facility was very beautiful and peaceful and many times you would find the teens outside having group therapy sessions. Inner Harbour had a campy feel. This created a sense of normalcy for kids who might feel otherwise. The administrators offered many training classes for the staff and were advocates for the clients, guardians, and staff alike. As stated before this was a few years ago and I suggest a full day visit to the facility.
