My husband and I will be spending this weekend in downtown Atlanta. Any suggestion on a casual/fun restaurant to have dinner at and a bar to go to for age 40's. Thanks,

Dennise

Fontaine's or Highland Tap in the VA Highlands are both. They're also right next door to each other.

If you staying downtown, the Wine Loft, Stats, Luckie Lounge and Taco Mac are all walking distance near the park and aquarium. Marriot Marques has the the High Octane sports lounge, if you like neo-soul and shooting pool, I would check out Barleys billards on peachtree between West Peachtree st. and Ivan Allen. Hooters is Hooters, but expect large crowds for the NBA Playoffs. Just depends on what you are looking to do while out, these all have very different vibes.

If you're going to be here the whole weekend then get on MARTA at the 5 Points Station and go East to the Inman Park/Reynoldstown Station (Station E3). Get off on the Inman Park side (north side) and you will find yourself in the middle of the best street festival in the most beautiful historic neighborhood in the city.
